Soybean meal shipments for this month are expected to reach 1.43 million tons, a decrease from January's 1.75 million tons but higher than the 1.27 million tons exported in February of the previous year.
The National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec) projects that Brazilian ports will export 8.5 million tons of soybeans in February, a substantial increase from January's 2.32 million tons and February of the previous year's 7.54 million tons. These estimates are based on port ship schedules.
In contrast, corn exports are anticipated to total 716.7 thousand tons in February, a significant decline from the 3.43 million tons recorded in January and the 1.93 million tons in February 2023.
For soybean meal, the expectation is shipments of 1.43 million tons this month, below January's volume (1.75 million tons) but exceeding February last year's recorded quantity (1.27 million tons). As for wheat, the projection is exports of 724 thousand tons in February, compared to 685 thousand tons in January and 523 thousand tons in February of the previous year.
During the week from February 18th to 24th, 2.25 million tons of soybeans, 330.4 thousand tons of bran, and 243.7 thousand tons of wheat were exported. No corn shipments occurred during this period. The forecast for the week of February 25th to March 2nd anticipates soybean shipments of 3.71 million tons, bran shipments of 396.2 thousand tons, and wheat shipments of 418.3 thousand tons. There is no forecast for corn during this period.
