Inmet forecasts a typical summer day for Brazil, with storm warnings issued for several producing regions.

Tuesday (5) will be marked by another typical summer day in Brazil. Several producing regions are forecasted with rain showers over the next 24 hours. The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), in fact, maintains the yellow alert status valid in the Central-West, Southeast, Pará, and Tocantins.

"Rain between 20 and 30 mm/h or up to 50 mm/day, intense winds (40-60 km/h). Low risk of electricity cuts, falling tree branches, flooding and electrical discharges," states the official alert.

According to data from the Cosmo model, between this Tuesday and Wednesday (6), the most significant volumes of rain are expected for the extreme north of Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, and areas in a state of alert by Inmet. Precipitation can reach 40mm in isolated areas of these states.

For the south of Brazil, according to Climatempo, a cold front is what will influence the rain in the next few hours. "The situation should become calmer in Santa Catarina on Wednesday (6). However, in Paraná, the storm condition increases over the north of the state. The region of Londrina and Campo Mourão should receive rain showers from the morning. And this rain still alternates periods of sunshine and periods of improvement. The tendency is for it to return with strength and the chance of some localized storms again during the afternoon and early evening," states the consultancy.

Extended forecast for all of Brazil

According to data updated by the Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the week will be marked by good rains in almost all of Brazil. With the exception of Bahia, all other states are forecast to have good precipitation.

In the period between March 5th and 13th, the most significant volumes are predicted for the Southeast, with emphasis on areas in Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, and Espírito Santo, which should receive the most significant volume, between 60mm and 100mm. The other regions of the country may record accumulations between 40mm and 60mm.

Between March 13th and 21st, NOAA predicts the continuation of rain throughout Brazil and begins to signal the return of humidity to Bahia, but still with irregularity. During this period, the most significant volumes are expected for the extreme north of Brazil, but it rains in all other regions.
