Soybean futures trading on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) started this Friday's session (14) with declines. By around 10:28 AM (Brasília time), the initial contracts were down by 4.00 to 5.50 points.

The July 2024 contract was priced at $11.85 per bushel, losing 4.00 points. The August 2024 contract was at $11.73 per bushel, down 4.75 points. The September 2024 contract traded at $11.51 per bushel, down 5.75 points, while the November 2024 contract was priced at $11.54 per bushel, down 5.50 points. Soybean futures fell in this session due to favorable conditions for the development of the U.S. crop as planting nears completion.

"Rain is expected in parts of Nebraska and northern Kansas, and in a line from northern Arkansas to Indiana and Ohio today, weather maps show."

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) report, about 72% of U.S. soybeans were in good or excellent condition at the start of the week, up from 59% during the same period last year.
